Prof. Abdelmajid Jemni Receives the 2026 National Award for the Best Tunisian Researcher or Inventor Residing in Tunisia

Professor Abdelmajid Jemni, Professor at the National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM) and Director of the Doctoral School of Engineering Sciences and Technologies (STI), has been awarded the prestigious 2026 National Award for Scientific and Technological Research during the celebration of Knowledge Day, held today at the Presidential Palace of Carthage.
This distinguished award recognizes a remarkable scientific and academic career, characterized by sustained commitment to scientific research, higher education, and the training and supervision of young researchers.
Prof. Jemni is internationally recognized for his research in heat transfer, energy systems, and hydrogen technologies. He has authored more than 200 scientific publications and has an H-index of 42, reflecting the significant impact and visibility of his research. His scientific contributions cover a wide range of topics, including thermal systems, metal–hydrogen reactors, energy materials, and photovoltaic/thermal systems.
His career has also been marked by a strong commitment to academic leadership and institutional development. He served as Director of the National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM) from 2005 to 2011 and as Director of the Laboratory for the Study of Thermal and Energy Systems (LESTE) from 2008 to 2021. Since August 2021, he has served as Director of the STI Doctoral School.
Prof. Jemni has supervised more than 20 doctoral theses, including four conducted under international joint supervision, as well as more than 30 master's theses. He also holds of a patent and has contributed to numerous national and international research projects.
